Best of VA Missed Connections January 9 – January 15

by | Jan 15, 2019 | RICHMOND NEWS, WTF?!

Trading spouses isn’t just for mediocre reality TV anymore! Now it’s found a new home — in this week’s Missed Connections.

But you don’t have to be already-married to find romance here, though it will help if you like to wear open-toed high heels in the winter (which sounds crazy, but hey, whatever floats your boat). You might also find love this week if you’re a fan of hitting the gym when it’s quiet around the holidays, or if you’re making some extra cash driving for Uber Eats. So before you open that app for another day on the slushy streets of Richmond, take a dip into the Missed Connections.

Lowe’s near costco. (Lowe’s on broad)

On Saturday I was in Lowe’s and your husband offered to trade you to me as a joke. It was funny but you even said I’m sure his wife wouldn’t approve of that. Well typically you might be right but I do have an open relationship as we are swingers so perhaps this could work.

I found you very attractive and I feel you thought the same based on some of the smiles we exchanged.

I realize you likely won’t see this but I am definitely interested. Let me know what your husband wanted to trade for you so I know it’s you.

Dillards (Short Pump)

Lady’s in heels are my weakness, and every time I have seen you, you have on open toe heels and look great. You are an associate, not gonna say which dept. I think you have noticed me, maybe even caught me steeling glances as I walk pass with my coffee in my hand. I really like a woman that wears open heels this time of year, tells me she likes to get attention to her feet. Hope by some chance you find this, I will be in again, part of my walking schedule. I can tell you the color of your toes.

Love’s Truck Stop Exit 15 Thurs Gray Beard Trucker (South Hill)

I paid for my food and looked over my shoulder to see where you went and you were staring right at me, it caught me off guard so I looked away, I seen you leaving the fuel desk so assume you’re a truck driver and hopefully a local?

You had a full gray beard, Wranglers, gray sweat shirt, no coat, ball cap and were about 6’2″ 285 lbs? Thurs night a little after 11pm. You made my day and hope to run into you again.

If you reply tell me what I was wearing and where you seen me in the truck stop so I know its really you.

purple hair at kroger (Chesterfield, near Chippenham)

Bumped into you in the coffee aisle. We had a simple chat while I admired you. Would like to talk again. Describe what we bought.

Uber eats driver (Fredericksburg)

You delivered ihop to me. You were with your son in matching sweaters. You were so fucking adorable. Most guys would have stared at my tits the entire time, but you bashfully looked away. I hope you see this as I would love to show them to you.

THE DOLLER STORE ON LITTJE GREEK (NORFOLK)

TO DAY I CAN DO I CAN MEET THE YOUNG PIPE CLEANER AT THE DOLLER STOREPARKING LOT IF YOU WANT

Fern – pho (Pho-79)

Enjoyed talking to you over your messy noodle eating.

Might seem an unlikely friendship, but I’d enjoy maybe sitting down and eating some “Fa” again.

Have a great trip, hope to hear from you.

Anytime fitness (Fredericksburg)

We’ve seen each other in passing and one day we talked briefly as I was leaving and you were getting ready to start your workout. We talked about how it sucks when the gym is crowded and we both like it when it’s empty, it was right before xmas and laughed about our excitement of the gym being empty during holiday time and how we’d take advantage… You’ve been on my mind ever since, I’d like to get to know you, maybe go out sometime? Msg with who normally joins you at the gym so I know it’s you if you’re interested.

I still love you (Town center)

Young military guy here. We met over a year ago and I’ve never gotten you out of my my mind or heart. You were older but very attractive. You were working at the Hilton at the oceanfront last time we talked. We can make it work now if you’re interested.

Strawbridge breakfast drivethru

Blonde woman in front of me. You paid for my breakfast this morning. That was very nice. I thought you were attractive and would like to reciprocate. I remember what you were driving.

Tailgate (Va beach)

We met on the tailgate of my truck. We had a common bond that brought us together. We had visions of being together forever but we drifted apart. We came from different worlds , but we were so much alike. I’ve often wondered what could have been and I’ve thought about where it went wrong. I’m a male in search of a certain lady.

Long Johns laburnam (Henrico)

I was in last Friday evening. I saw you waking aroundbehind the counter and something caught my attention. I think you saw me looking and got shy. You are hot. If you know who I am reply to this please. Id like to meet you.

My Desi Friend.. (Ruckersville)

To the really nice, sweet, cute mature Desi woman who shows me sooo much attention I’m wondering if you’re actually interested?

I come into your store everyday and we hold a conversation about life we agree on alot you give me butterflies when I see you..

Looking For An Old Friend (Ocean View (Norfolk))

HI,

Looking for an old friend named Paulette in Ocean View (Norfolk). She had a son named Scotty that attended Grandby High with my daughters. I used to work in Beach Bay Grocery on First View and met her there. I moved away to NY and we lost touch. I am back in Va now and would like to see her again. If anyone knows her or knows her last name (I forgot it) please let her know I am looking for her or let me know how I can find her. My name is Karen.

Thanks!

We met briefly in April (Colonial Heights)

long shot here..

You were a dispatcher. We met at walmart in Colonial Heights while you were working on a project. This was back in April, I left the area shortly after rather abruptly. I’m back now and have lost all your contact info. We got along great and I’d like to connect again.

Hopefully you see this and message me.

Tell me your name and what other store we went to!

Beautiful Blonde in Food Lion / Hampton (Bethel and Hampton Roads Parkway)

You are beautiful with your long blonde hair curling at the ends. We were in the cold foods area when I spoke to you. I looked for you but could not find you, then when I was pulling out we made eye contact. I must see you again! I want to know everything about you. I know that we could make some magic in each other’s lives. Save my life, restore my faith, complete me!

Looking for a submariner Michael (Norfolk)

I know this is a long shot, but I am looking for someone I knew back in 2010 in the Ocean View area. He was a young submariner named Michael. I can’t for the life of me remember his last name. He would now be in his late 20s to mid 30s with brunette hair. Slim stature. He had an older red Chevy Blazer and a maroon Hyundai Elantra at that time. Any help would be great! My name is Tara.

Richmond Clean Water: Now Too “Woke” for the Federal Government

Oh, clean water. The thing you’ve been drinking since birth, something you take for granted—unless, of course, you live in a city like Richmond, where even something as basic as that can be too much to ask for at times. The federal government just made even that a...

Guerrilla Filmmaking as Art and Ethos

After a night spent on the coziest sofa in all of Appalachia, we headed up early to the top of a university parking deck, parked beneath a sign that read “No Parking / No Loitering,” and lined up the shot—my director and me, just the two of us that morning to grab a...
