Best Of VA Missed Connections July 24 – July 30

by | Jul 30, 2019 | RICHMOND NEWS, WTF?!

If you too have sometimes cast longing looks in the direction of your Uber driver, this will be a very relatable Missed Connections week for you. Because in addition to the time-honored tradition of falling in love with our restaurant servers, this week sees quite a few people getting all twitterpated about their Uber drivers… and sometimes, it seems, the feeling is mutual!

This week also brings us hot biker daddies grabbing cigs at Wawa, people who go grocery shopping in pajamas, and suburban q-tip shoppers, along with multiple dudes who wish a woman would go fishing with them. And of course, a lovely Parisian kiss (which leaves me wondering if I have any idea what that term actually means).

Go fish, Virginia.

Asado early Saturday night

I probably should have asked but you were working and I didn’t want to be that guy.

Now I’m that guy doing this.

You made an excellent executive beverage decision.

Parisian kiss (Hofheimer Rooftop)

Hofheimer building rooftop. You asked for a Parisian kiss and I kissed your cheek. I didn’t catch your name. Why didn’t you come back? I’m in town for one more day… interested in meeting?

uber eats driver (northside)

you had an incredible voice. i’d love to hear it again. tell me your name or where the food was from and let’s talk again please

Uber Passenger (Richmond)

I drove you home Friday night. You were sitting in the back and asked if you could hop in the front with you. I should have asked for your number but I was trying to be professional!

John Cheesecake Factory (Short Pump Towne Center)

You were an amazing waiter. Not sure if you like men but I was very attracted to you tonight. I knew I heard a Jersey accent.

Sarah (Short pump)

Hi Sarah,

You helped me out yesterday and were perfect. I think you might be just as weird as me outside of work. I found myself overly attracted to you and those brown eyes. Then you started quietly singing songs on the radio, rendering me a blubber idiot.

If you weren’t at work I would have asked you out. Even if it bombed. It would have been worth the chance to at least get to know you.

Hopefully someone caught your eye yesterday, you see this and respond. Now that I say it out loud I realize what a long shot it is. Oh well.

Young AA female working at Bow Tie concession stand (RVA)

Young AA girl smiled at me (middle aged white guy) buying popcorn and drink. You asked how I was doing and I said I was good because I was skipping work. Were you just being polite or was there more to your smile? I thought we made eye contact a few times. If you’re interested, maybe we could meet and I could buy you lunch or something else.

Starbucks Downtown No Straw (Downtown. Broad St.)

Thank you for a brief interaction that made my day better.

Hot Biker Daddy at Wawa Saturday evening (Staples Mill & Parham Rds)

You held the door for me and my imagination has been running wild ever since.

You were wearing a Metallica shirt, bandana, and heavily tattooed. You stopped in for coffee and a cigarette…wish I would have joined you.

McDonalds’s BRSC (Charlottesville)

You were working behind the counter as a cashier, Thursday morning at the BRSC McDonald’s. You had your long black hair in a ponytail, if you see this and are available lets chat. I have something very interesting to discuss with you.

Have a great day .. .. .. .. ..

Fishing Lady (Chesapeake Bay and Beyond)

Im looking for a good looking lady to spend some time on the boat fishing with me.

Boat girl (Vb)

You used to come see me and we would take the boat out and have some fun, lots of fun! Miss those times and wld like to do again soon while it’s still summertime. We would go out of va beach marina. Let me know some details or where boat was.

Kroger (Willow Lawn)

You are tall and pretty, I think a red head… I had on my pajama paints… saw you first when I was grabbing bananas, then we smiled at each other as we walked by each other, but I missed out on talking with you.

Your eyes melt my heart (Charlottesville area)

You’re eyes are killer light. You’re a very very attractive man in your 30s and you are married as am I. I know this is a long shot but well worth the attempt.

I have no idea if you are in the slightest interested….

I called you sir and you didn’t like that but you winked at being called sweetie.

Also at bar in Scott’s Addition (Scott’s Addition)

You were tan tall younger at the bar with an older fellow. Good eye contact. I was with coworkers. If interested reply with name of restaurant and my discription.

P F Changs (Richmond)

Was dining Sunday night. You have dark hair, fresh cut w/ a side part, white and about 5′ 8″. Nice dark beard. Caught me looking at you as you waited tables nearby. You’ve waited on us before. Would like to meet for discreet connection.

Pink shirt in Petsmart

We actually noticed each other in the parking lot first, then smiled at each other inside the store. You were with a couple people, and had on a pink Myrtle Beach tshirt and blue pants.

You definitely had a pretty smile and caught my attention. If you happen so see this get in touch.

Give me some detail so I know it’s you.

Powhatan Walmart Today 5-530pm (Powhatan)

You were in shampoo aisle with one item in your cart, dark hair, tanned, jeans, sandals (?)and green top, definitely beautiful and no ring that I saw. If you are interested, I walked past you and picked up q-tips and should have said something to you…no one ever accused me of being smart…
