Best Of VA Missed Connections May 29 – June 4

by | Jun 4, 2019 | RICHMOND NEWS, WTF?!

It’s that time once again — time for the Missed Connections, where every week we hear from a broad swath of Virginia — the hopeful, the forlorn, and of course, the kiiiinda creepy.

This week, we learn that backyard showers are apparently not just for beach houses anymore — although if you have one, you better stay vigilant, because your neighbors might just be watching. And it seems that in a certain Carytown bar, the jello shots have been flowing like water. Also, we get an introduction to textspeak poetry, which seems like a Generation Z literary movement on the cusp of exploding into full flower.

People are meeting up in all kinds of places this week — cookie factories, urology waiting rooms, and always, always, Wawa. By the way, shout out to the guy who doesn’t ask girls out while they’re working — you’re doing it right.

Get your checkup, Virginia.

Oregon Hill backyard shower

Dude! Just moved into OH and saw you showering in your backyard. Hot! Company? SWM wants to kno.

I need someone who can give me a check up (Midlothian/ Richmond)

Looking for a female or even a male who can give me a full body check.. I don’t like going to a doctors office. So if you have any medical back ground that would be great. Email me ASAP!! Looking for this afternoon if possible

Looking for my hippie Goddess (Norfolk)

So many people who don’t seem to live in the moment and fill their lives with pursuits that only bring stress. I don’t need a big house or a fancy car, a big job title or the trivial things in life. I just need my hippie Goddess to come into my life now that I am finally ready. I’m here for you!

Let’s live our lives in the moment, enjoying the simple things and focusing on what’s truly important in life – Love.

Jello Shots (Babe’s)

We chatted while in line for the back bar. You were ahead of me and bought 10 jello shots, 5 for me and my friends. You wouldn’t let me repay you and then you were gone. I owe you a drink or 5.

Starbucks girl (Richmond)

You work for Starbucks. You’re super friendly with a geeky personality. I like your gray hat. I see you a lot. I don’t know if I’m writing this because I’m sad today or if I like you. I think you might like me.

I don’t ask girls out while they’re working. You should ask me for my number next time I come in.

Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Auto Show (Montpelier)

You had a sweet Ford Truck that your dad bought. You were sweet enough to make conversation with me and tell me all about it. Sorry that I didn’t make more conversation with you!

If you were only ‘drumming up some votes’, then I won’t seek you out again.
However, if you’re single, available and would like to talk more, let’s!
I’m interested in getting to know you!

Blue eyed Cutie – can’t stop thinking of you (Food Lion Montpelier)

To the cute lady wearing a skull t-shirt and white converse….your laugh and piercing blue eyes paralyzed me. You were there around 3:30 on Friday….tell me what you helped me find so I know it’s you. If this does not work I just have to hope to see you there again.

Female kidney stone patient lost in parking lot (Mechanicsville)
