Best Of VA Missed Connections August 19 – August 25

by | Aug 25, 2020 | RICHMOND NEWS, WTF?!

The heat is cranking back up this week in the Missed Connections — you can tell, because a lot of people are out here wearing fewer articles of clothing than usual. Shirtless on a riding mower is a proud tradition in the part of Virginia where I come from, but I never saw the appeal, so this week the Missed Connections are here to prove that it takes all kinds.

This week also brings us cuties getting high and ordering late-night munchies from the gas station (also a classic move where I hail from), drive-thru cashier love, and watermelon dumpster-divers looking for love. Summer is the right time to get your freak on, so go on with your bad selves, Craigslist posters of the world.

One thing I must say, though — I do not get why, as hot as it’s been lately, so many of you are still drinking coffee on a daily basis. Doesn’t it just make you sweat to death?

Keep it cool, Virginia.

You were gonna go commando and meet me at Food Lion

(No emails back and forth. And no bs. Just tell me where to meet you, and I will be otw.)

The one on New Market Rd. And you were gonna bring your skateboard. Sorry I was so tough on you. I was just disappointed. Please, let’s try this again. We will just go with the flow. I’m a good dude and a true friend. That said, it’s hot you plan to leave your underwear at home!

Neighbors cutting grass yesterday (Mechanicsville)

We were both cutting our lawns yesterday afternoon, both shirtless. We live on opposite sides of street. Love women, but can’t help but wonder what’s hidden in those gym shorts. Curious? Interested?

If you think it’s you, what street?

Angel face (Hampton Roads)

Damn I sure do miss you

~^~^Sweet girl on bike^~^~^~ (richmond)

I was riding my moped and you were riding your bicycle. When you were riding by you slowed down to tell me you liked my tattoos. I was pretty smitten and then you were gone.

Jacquelyn E. (Henrico)

You ordered Wawa and were high as balls, numbers are temporary so I couldn’t respond.

You said you liked my hair… (Panera on Laburnum)

It was August 14 at the Panera on Laburnum. I was alone having a coffee, no mask. You were wearing a black mask and stopped to tell me that you wished every woman would wear their hair like mine. I’d like to talk to you if you’re interested. 🙂

Green nails last week to 288

No way you’d ever be on here…. But I can’t stop thinking about you and need to get it out somewhere! You came out of the store and I was parked beside you. I wish I could have got words out to say something to you besides staring with my jaw unhinged, but you completely took the breath out of my chest 🙂

Coffee with mom and your son?

Sorry that I couldn’t stop smiling at you. Your eyes looked amazing looking back into mine. I know you’ll never see this but I can’t stop thinking about you and needed somewhere to let it out!!

Walking on pineway (Riverside)

You are a thin lady with dark hair.
I’m a thin guy in a truck.
You were walking towards the river.
You seemed nice, wondering if an attraction, or were you just polite?
Either way, glad our paths crossed.

Drive thru at McDonalds (Stafford)

R – you work the drive thru at the Stafford McDonald’s and oh my you are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen! You are younger but I would love to get to know you better!! You drive me crazy every time I see you!! You know I always get the same thing…. ❤️🌹

Watermelon (Hopewell)

We were throwing away trash at the same time, you a watermelon and something else. I nodded but not sure you saw. I think

It’d be fun to hang out if you’re interested.
